Roadtrip from Davao City to Bislig City, Surigao del sur

Are you travelling to Mangagoy for the first time? You can get the route from this trip.

Check out this guide because this will benefit not just solo backpackers, but also families and friends planning on a land travel or road trip to Bislig city's main tourist attraction to Tinuy-An Falls located in Burboanan, Bislig City.

I started my trip on a Friday noon and decided to choose an available air-conditioned van with five passengers including me that travelled for four (4) long hours of journey.

The national highway has concrete roads from Davao City, Tagum City then Compostela Valley,Monkayo and Trento however after passing Cuevas Bislig, there are sections with undergoing road construction.

Here's the map that gives you both the road distance and probable stopping points of the journey to Mangagoy.

As shown in the map, the estimated travel time of the distance can take you 3 hours and 19minutes but due to traffic and stopping points halfway to the journey, actual travel time via VAN took 4 to 5 hours which is faster compared to BUS. But of course if you have your own vehicle and familiar of the route then you can arrive earlier.

Note:

According to the Van Driver "Manong Adong" (cell#0948 990 9198) they can be found at the Victoria Plaza Mall Davao Van Terminal. Usually the first trip starts around 8am - 9am and last trip is 8pm. Van Fare is Php 300.00 (as of this date 17/04/2015)

Since I'm planning to visit Tinuy-an Falls first before Enchanted River then I'll be staying in Mangagoy. Mangagoy is the downtown area of Bislig City and the largest barangay in the Philippines also dubbed as the little city within the city of Bislig. Bislig can be found in Surigao del Sur, on the eastern side of Mindanao.

WHERE to STAY in MANGAGOY

I hire tricycle driver to search for a place to stay for a night, he led me to Casa de Babano then Sleep In  and last TFanny's.
These three accommodations located in the center of Mangagoy, walking distance to public market, restos, etc. which I prefer because I plan to stroll and explore the downtown.

I choose TFanny's because I need to prioritize the wifi connection so I could check emails and do some work. The staff gave me the room beside the lobby to gain easy access of the Wifi only available in the lobby. The room  has 2 single beds for Php 650.00 with cable TV, AC and own Toilet & Bath. Not bad at all with free breakfast.
